Beautifully Executed

The advertisement you see is a direct example of a virtual reality world. In this world violence is dominant and sex appeal makes it acceptable to have the place be competitive. This advertisement is for a PlayStation 2 game, and it is called Hitman-Blood and Money.

I feel that the target audience is for male teenagers with a sex drive and sense of danger. With the limitation of content and lack of descriptive information, this game appeals perfectly to the teenage eye. Instead of advertising all descriptive information, visually the photograph draws you in far better than text ever could. As for the purpose of the advertisement, I think the message is perfect in drawing kids into wanting this game. There is no catch fraise or happy family message, all they give you is a sense that you can do criminal acts while playing this game without truly ever committing them.

The virtual sense of this place is directly related to the customers mind. Every person has a dark side that we want to unleash, but we do not retaliate on the feelings. The environment of this place is destructive and violent; things that the normal human does not get to feel every day. I think that is why it is so appealing for teenagers to want these games.

Personally I have played these games before and know how they can affect the teenage mind. It is addictive and breathtaking being in a world not of your own. If expands the creativity of your mind and it compels you to survive. Games might seem violent but they are the direct enforcement of young adults and their sense of creativity and action. It may be hard for adults to understand, but in the same way a book, a newspaper, or even a movie can make your dreams become a reality, even more can a video game.
